NLA Design offers a unique array of landscape architecture and site planning services. We work closely with our clients to create a strong design program, built around their input and goals for the project. We develop clear and concise contract documents providing a seamless transition from the drawing table to the field.  From initial project development to final contract documents, NLA Design focuses on creating a complete design package that exceeds our clients’ expectations.

As the principal owner of NLA Design, Nathaniel T. Lowry is a licensed landscape architect in the State of Washington.  Nate has a diverse background with multiple years of both design-build construction and civil engineering experience.  His Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from Washington State University is further supported with landscape architecture studies at RMIT in Melbourne, VIC Australia.

Nate is a Puget Sound native with a passion for indigenous plants, low impact development and outdoor recreation.  He has a practical, well-rounded approach derived from years of construction and muilti-disciplinary experience.  Nate is also involved in local government serving on the planning commission for the City of Edgewood.  With over a decade of diverse landscape architecture experiences, ranging from small-scale residential projects to miles-wide military installations and regional planning studies, Nate has developed a strong resume and skill set he brings to every project.
